Oat & Almond Crunchies

Makes : 10-15 pieces
Preparation time : 10 Mins.
Cooking time : 1 hour


  • 300 gms rolled oats
  • 200 gms. almonds
  • 150 gms wheat flakes
  • 50 gms wheat germ or bran
  • 75 gms sesame seeds
  • 50 gms sultanas
  • 50 gms chopped dried fruits
  • 175 ml honey
  • 125 ml hot water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence


  • Preheat oven to 120°C / 250°F
  • Separately mix honey, hot water and vanilla essence.
  • Add almonds, grains, nuts and seeds. Spread on a greased baking tray and bake for one hour stirring in between.
  • Once it turns light brown, turn off the gas and add dried fruits.
  • Cool and store in airtight containers.
